Veronica A. Wells, Adjunct Assistant Professor

The newest addition to the Special Collections Research Center team is Veronica A. Wells, Adjunct Assistant Professor. Veronica is excited to work with the incredible collections available in the SCRC by providing reference and instruction.

Veronica was previously at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California since 2010 as the music librarian, head of research and learning services, and, in the last two years, assistant dean of the University Libraries. Veronica earned a Bachelor of Arts in music from Luther College, a Master of Arts in Library & Information Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master of Arts in Musicology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Veronica’s has authored articles and book chapters on a variety of topics, including critical music information literacy and a diversity, equity, and inclusion audit she conducted at her previous institution. Additionally she co-authored the book, The Historical Dictionary of the American Music Industry. She is on the board of the Music Library Association as the Recording Secretary.

Aside from librarianship, Veronica has taught yoga for over 10 years, she loves to cook (guacamole, spring rolls, and kitchari are some of her favorites), and she has two cats, Cleopatra and Ptolemy. Her partner, David Wells, is the Assistant Professor of Bassoon at App State’s Hayes School of Music.
